Fancy Fold Books

Join Cherryl Moote for a class that offers both beginners and advanced paper crafters the opportunity to explore folded book forms that don’t require any glue. From the pages inside to the covers they fit into, all of the charm of these book forms is in their folds. We will explore accordion books, lotus books, meander books, pocket fold books and so much more and there will be clever covers for all of the books that don’t use glue either! Students should bring: a self-healing cutting mat (at least a 9 x 12 but 12 x 18 is ideal), sharp x-acto knife and extra blades, scissors (regular and detail), metal 12" ruler with cork back and/or Omnigrid© Quilter’s Ruler (6” x 12” size highly recommended), pencil which keeps a fine point, pencil sharpener and white eraser, bone folder and bookbinding awl.
