Card Design Theory

Come join Donna’s popular monthly card design class! Using 2 unique design sketches, students will create a total of 6 cards. The focus of this series is to explore design concepts and how each sketch can be used to create a wide variety of cards. Students will make 3 different cards per sketch, and receive copies of the sketches along with color photos of the cards created in class. Save the design sketches in a binder to use when you need a quick design idea, or as inspiration for your own sketches. (These classes are not in an ordered series. Students can participate in any or all classes.) Students should bring: a bone folder or Scor-it plus Donna’s Basic Kit - Paper adhesive (ATG or taperunner or glue stick, etc), pop dots, glue dots, 1/8” tacky tape (double-sided tape), hole punch or Crop-a-dile, paper piercer, Colorbox Chestnut Roan brown ink – or something comparable and fast drying, ruler, scissors, corner rounder and pencil.
