Wax On! Wax Art!
Date: Tuesday, March 5
Time: 6:00 - 9:00 PM
Catch the buzz and join Cheryl as she shows us ways to use encaustic wax and beeswax to create original works of art using the Purple Cows Melt Tool and the Ranger Melting Pot. We will incorporate a little PanPastels to add more dimensions and create layers of interest that will have your mind busy as a bee with new ideas. This is a hands-on class that will be so much fun exploring this versatile medium.
Students should bring: your basic kit plus a nonstick craft sheet, a heat gun (this is a must), natural hair 2" paintbrush, collage items from your stash, your favorite rubber stamps and black ink (StazOn or Archival). Optional items include a charcoal or graphite pencil, Sharpie or India ink marker (Faber-Castell Big Brush pens), PanPastels, choice of rub-ons (Cheryl recommends words, borders, little images, etc), a found object for embedding and a Ranger Melting Pot.
All classes must be prepaid in order
to reserve your spot. Payments are cheerfully refunded
up to 48 hours prior to the class.
